    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Day 1 : Tarquinia Full Day

    Visit the Monterozzi Necropolis (a world heritage site) which houses tombs adorned with remarkable frescoes, representing one of the most significant collections of Etruscan art. It’s a glimpse into ancient painting before the Roman imperial era. Explore the historic center with frescoes from the 16th century and mett an Etruscan Master Potter!

    Day 2 : Civitavecchia Full Day

    Explore the lively city market and learn to cook with fresh ingredients then follow your guide as she shares the city’s history.
    The route will take you wandering through the picturesque narrow streets of the old town of Civitavecchia to a visit to the most interesting pearl of the city’s artistic patrimony!

    Day 3 : Tolfa Hills & Allumiere Full Day

    Tolfa and Allumiere are two charming towns near the coast of Civitavecchia, famous for their history and tradition related to the extraction of alum, a mineral used in the textile industry.

    Tolfa is a medieval town surrounded by walls and dominated by the Frangipani castle, which offers a panoramic view of the countryside. Allumiere is a small
    town that was founded by the workers of the alum mines in the 16th century. You’ll visit the mineralogical museum to understand the local territory.

    Day 4 : 3 Castles in One Day

    Enjoy an unforgettable day trip to discover the culture, history, and local legends of Lazio region. Discover three remarkable Castles in the Lazio region, each surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

    Begin your day with a scenic drive along the Aurelia Road, offering spectacular views of cliffs and the Thyrrenian Sea.

    An additional day in Cerveteri could be planned as follows:

    Day Cerveteri:

    • 2:00 PM: Visit the Via degli Inferi (approximately 2 hours, free of charge).
    • Transfer to the historic center.
    • Lunch at a “Fraschetta” featuring local products.
    • PM: Visit Maestro Vasaio Roberto Paolini (free of charge).
    • Return to Civitavecchia.

    NOTES

    • All these days could also be sold as Day Excursions
    • Several other interesting options for reflection, suchas:
      – The ancient city of Canale Monterano (Grand Tour).
      – Casale dell’Acqua Bianca with Etruscan tombs.
