What You’ll See: Immerse yourself in the history and rituals of Italian coffee. We’ll start with a detailed overview of coffee’s origins in Italy, highlighting its cultural significance and the evolution of its brewing methods.
What You’ll Do: We’ll move on to hands-on practice with the moka pot, a staple in every Italian household. You’ll master the techniques to brew the perfect espresso, from grinding the beans to achieving the ideal crema. Then, we’ll guide you through the process of making a flawless cappuccino, complete with frothy milk. Throughout the class, you’ll enjoy tasting a selection of local artisanal biscuits, including amaretti, ciambelle, and savoiardi.
What You’ll Learn: Learn the step-by-step methods for using a moka pot and espresso machine. Perfect your milk frothing technique to create a cappuccino with the perfect texture. We’ll also introduce you to the art of pairing coffee with Sambuca Molinari, a historic liqueur from Civitavecchia. Discover the tradition of sweetening coffee with Sambuca.
